About Us ...
Business @ Bacchus Marsh is an association of
businesses in the Shire of Moorabool formed for the purpose by them of
arranging reciprocal commercial benefit through networking, promotion
of business issues, develop cost savings strategies for business
operations, promotion of tourism, and acknowledgement of the
contribution of businesses as members of the Bacchus Marsh community.
Membership of Business @ Bacchus Marsh is voluntary, and open to all
business sectors. Members set the monthly meeting agenda to meet with
representatives relevant to their interests and issues. Tourism, and
increasing the yield from visitors to Bacchus Marsh is important.
The group operates on a democratic basis with 7 elected board members
appointed to a 3 year retirement cycle, and uses a volunteer from its
membership to undertake administrative services, prepare submissions,
meet with government agencies, organize training and development sessions.
In 2006, an administrative centre was established and operational
systems formed.
In 2007, Business @ Bacchus Marsh has identified the
following priorities:
- Locate and achieve funding for an Executive Officer
- Publishing and distributing a promotional brochure of Bacchus
Marsh to increase tourism benefit
